Yes the tgmd is the medadata file that I had thumbgen create so other apps can use it if supported, since it has everything in it, from the results NPVR has to see it since. I have a lot of info displayed about the movies that is listed once I ran this. I would not know where PVR would be piulling it from since all I have is a jpeg, nfo and tgmd files in the folder with the movie.

I can remove the jpeg image and nfo file to see if NPVR still gives me the same results not I'm wondering if NPVR is reading the medadata file.

Ok after doing some testing I found NPVR does reads the .nfo file not the .tgmad file, see below,
1st screen using .tgmd only
2nd capture using .nfo only
3rd screen using .nfo and jpeg image only

Hope this helps

Yes you already stated that npvr could read the nfo file, but i thought that it could be cool if it could read ALL the metadata from the tgmd file and import it into npvr.

I have attached the files that thumbgen created, not only the NFO file also the mediadata file as well so which every one be easier for NPVR to read for you to add, I like options :-)
Sorry for the slow response - I dont typically read posts in the plugin forum so I didnt see your reply. I've just tried that nfo file, and as you guys found already, it read this file just fine.

I'll see if I can add support for reading the nfo/art from the tgmd file in a future release. It'll obviously mean much slower reading of file metadata, which I'm dont like the sound of, because NPVR has to open a .zip and extract data for each movie it shows. Personally I think separate nfo and art work files are better.

I'm trying to do some of the meta-data stuff talked about in this thread with my Videos+ plugin. It'll be some time yet before it's ready, but the plan is to make something that looks like what you're seeing with the ThumbGen generated images (but done natively within NPVR).
