Cannot play my TS files

Dave_M as sub indicated, your problem is related to multiple PAT entries in the stream that would not be there is NPVR recorded the file. There are several basic utilities that will remux this so they play fine in NPVR. TS4NP is the most basic command line tool but you have several options.

Incidentally they both play fine as is on the NMT from NPVR.

Is there no way to have it playing inside NPVR? Like by using a different TS source filter? The problem is it is not possible to remux first in a specific instance that I am thinking of. Is there a way to trick NPVR into using a different filter? Or some .ini setting somewhere I can modify and see if it works?

You cant get NPVR to use another TS source filter, but the attached update might make it play for you. It plays that broken sample you supplied.

This is really just a problem with the invalid TS files you're supplying it though. They have invalid PAT/PMT tables.

It opens just sits there with zero hrs, mins, sec on the clock.

I think it is NPVR's new rating system kicking in, and it won't play any content from that show. :p

In all seriousness, that file plays OK in VLC, Npvr is busy at the moment, so I can't check with that.

I was asking to use another TS filter because I thought that would be less hassle and work for you, sub. Of course if you just want to fix your filters so they work better, then that's fine too
