How To Turn Off GBPVR

I have GBPVR running and wanted to try out NPVR. The Guide says to not have both programs attempt to use the same tuners. How do I turn off GBPVR so there is no conflict?

Run Services.msc in a command prompt or from Start->Run, find GBPVRRecording Service, right click and select Properties, set it to Disabled. Also make sure you have no startup for PVRX2 in your startup folder.

All I did was renamed my "gbpvr.db3" to "gbpvr.db3.using" & then started config & it created a new database with no capture cards configured or pending recordings so it couldn't record.
When I want to use GB-PVR again deleted the new gbpvr.db3 & renamed the gbpvr.db3.using back to gbpvr.db3 so it was all back up & running.
