LCD-plugin

I just bought an LCD set here:
http://www.htvision.com/ at a great price.

1. Did the hardware (parallell port, power connector), easy!
2. I installed the port driver
(http://www.driverlinx.com/DownLoad/DlPortIO.htm)
for these character LCD's (mine's 16*2).
3. Installed JalCDs
(http://www.jalcds.de)
4. Installed Janviet's plugin (both in jal (gbpvr.cfg) en gbpvr; LCDPlugin.dll to GBPVR plugin directory and UltraID3Lib.dll to GBPVR installation directory)

And I ended up with a nice blue square light but no characters.
Q1. In Janviets plugin package there' s a file "lcdplugin.cs". Where does that one go; it's not mentioned in the readme.
Q2. In GBPVR config the plugin doesn't show up in the plugin list, so i can't check it.
Q3. What did i do wrong?

Any suggestions, other solutions etc. etc. would be very much welcome

q1. nowhere, its the source code for the plugin, just ignore it.
q2. its not a normal plugin, so it wont show up in the config, this is normal
q3. i dont know.

have you got jalcds working normally?  ie trying making your own .cfg file, or using the demo that comes with it, even if you didnt manage to set it up right (the plugin i mean) it would still display the clock.  have you got the latest version of jalcds?

No not even the time, so I guess it's the port driver. Or a malfunction, however, that seems very unlikely.
Are there any other drivers out there?

OK, up to the next phase. The LCD is working now, I again did what I did before, but I don't see the plugin working in GB-PVR (I mean the screen is still standard JALCDs).
When I configure JALCDs I can exit but there's no button like "apply" or "ok".
Any suggestions?

Update: Start jaLCDS with commandline option config:
"jaLCDS config gbpvr.cfg"
and then it works

Having said all that, has anybody expanded on the foundation laid out by Janviet with this plugin (I'd love to have it)
