I'm not sure what I did, and even more upsetting, I'm not sure how to fix it.
I updated to 2.1.4 recently and that went so swimmingly, I updated the NMT software too running the latest installer, then things went south. From the installer, I disabled the "Install/Update NextPVR" option and continued. Install says it completed fine, but every time I have the PCH attempt to load mvpmc, it hangs with a white screen and:
Mount //192.168.1.50/mvpmc i
on the screen. The IP address and the share name are correct. I don't know what the little "i" afterwards is all about.
I did by chance happen to install some Windows 7 updates around the same time, so I've thought perhaps that process screwed something up with my share, but if so I can't figure out what.
The share still exists and still allows full guest access. The share scripts are all there, and while my npvr.cgi script does show it was touched - based on the date modified - I don't notice anything that was changed. I load mvpmcx2 automatically via an index.htm and that still starts npvr.cgi fine, but of course hangs as shown above. The mount command in npvr.cgi appears as follows:
mount -t cifs //192.168.1.50/mvpmc /etc/mvpmc -o username=root,rw
I've tried username=guest and even hard-coded a userid and password too... no luck.
The firewall rules still exist for NextPVR and NRecord. In fact, I disabled the firewall completely just to be sure that wasn't it, but no luck.
Having re-run the installer a couple times now, I know the first time I ran it I did NOT put in the mac address suffix, clicking too quickly to notice I was asked for it. I've since removed the partial mac mvp settings from the config.xml and re-run with the correct MAC address. If there's anything else my first run might have screwed up, I can't find it.
Any suggestions as to how and fix things again? Admittedly, things have been working so well for so long, I'm sure I've forgotten a few things to check. It really seems like it's the mount command that's failing though and I can't figure out why it's not working all of a sudden.
Thanks,
Tim
