Rewind/Skip on a HDX1000 with PCH crossflash.

Hi,

I have just acquired a HDX1000 which came supplied with PCH firmware (latest version) (and no copy of the HDX firmware).

I am running an old version on GBPVR (it ain't broke so I haven't upgraded) GBPVR ver 1.3.11

I don't wish to change version of GBPVR if I can help it - it's working just fine.

The NMTchecker log is attached

Most things are up and running - recordings play fine (SD mpg from uk freeview). Fast Forward smooth at approx 2 times normal.

I understand rewind is not possible (in gbpvr black screen then return to menu). (I can't believe it doesn't work in the PCH software either, but there you go).

I can not get skip/seek to work at all - any tips - what keys - nothing seems to work? help!

In GBPVR both FF and RW "trick" modes do work for SD video on the the NMT, with the proper config.xml setting <SkipInsteadOfFFRW>false</SkipInsteadOfFFRW> If you have that already. you might be missing a patch, the fixes for the NMT's are different than the PC. For HD the short skipping would be preferred.

I would be happy to look at your logs to see if GBPVR is running ok, but ultimately you are on your own with 1.3.11. If you do upgrade to 1.4.7 with the patches from the MixMan site you'd like end up with the best NMT/GBPVR performance. NextPVR offers better screen drawing and more accurate skipping, although at this point I suggest you wait for the version after 2.2.6

Thanks Martin - will check tomorrow - presumably there is not a skip key at the moment - the only skip will be on the FF and FRW buttons with the config change. If this does not fix I will upgrade to 1.4.7 - gulp.

The skip keys are Prev |<< and Next >>|
