I've just experienced an issue on our NMT, although my wife says she's seen it several times before. The Skip Forward/Back buttons do not move by the configured 30 seconds. In fact, the skip back button alone actually skips ahead in the playback. I have to skip back 2 minutes (2 + back) to go back at all. This behavior appears to be unique to this file.

I figured it was the time base of the recording, but when I tried playing the video on my PC and MVPs it skips fwd/back just fine.

I've recently loaded the latest MVPMCX2, but according to my wife it's happened to her several times before, for sure dating back into June. I did not have the opportunity to test those files on my PC or MVPs.

Any thoughts? Would the log files help? If so, do I need to unplug the MVPs first?

Thanks,
-Brad

A rule of thumb is if you have to ask about uploading logs, just do it.

OK, here are the logs. I presumed I needed to to unplug all my MVPs and restart the recording service.

Thanks,
-Brad

In the com skip file could you check to see if it starts off with a commercial, and if so remove the line.

Sorry about not answering your question, typing and watching TV don't mix.

Not so good at reading those files, nor knowing which one I should even be looking at. They are attached.

That seems to have fixed it. Is this an issue with all shows starting with a commercial?

Thanks,
-Brad

I don't know if this happens with every file ComSkip ID's as starting with a commercial, but it does happen to me a fair amount and I have noticed with each show that the show starts with a commercial.

Is this a fixable item?

Thanks,
-Brad

There is so much going on when the file is opened that it is difficult for gbpvr and mvmcx2 to keep everything in sync. I suggest philly_phenom's work around.
