Martin, Thanks for the nice words of encouragement. I have high hopes that sub will be able to fix the recording service lockups I'm experiencing in the next release which is the main stumbling block for me right now.

steeb, Thanks and just so you know MediaMonkey is desktop software (like Windows Media Player but better) so it is available to you in the UK (although I would certainly understand if you mean that you use a different music management/playback program and have no use for it).

Jaggy, Sorry that I was so sensitive and took it the wrong way. I will add some more descriptions in the first post.

Wow! I could quote some prior posts from senior members, but doubt that it is necessary. Is there honestly this much friction between senior members, that as I gather have been involved with this project for a number of years? I have followed the arguments in many threads including this one, and am wondering where this apps future is.

It took me some time to to notice how everything is tied together by so many involved parties as I was trying to get my stuff to work, which still is a long process, and far from what I can functionally depend on. I now know that Sub is the main core developer, is very busy professionally, and that he has only one choice as to consider this a hobby for him.

This app, the plug in contributors, the help contributors, etc.. make this a very special project that I hope does not self destruct. Maybe there is a close trusted friend of Sub's that can take over administrative web site duties, and answer technical questions to the users. I feel that he is running himself ragged and that he is spending way to much time addressing various threads and problems.

Just my 2c worth, but think things need to more organized, senior members more patient, and allow Sub to pay more attention to the core program!

cncb: They both look like brilliant additions to NextPVR (complete with superb wiki pages). Thank you on behalf of the NextPVR community for all your hard work on there. I am sure that they will be popular.

Grampz, I would not worry about this thread being a general cause of concern for NPVR. It was just a case of a new member (me) being a little "testy".

Sorry for hijacking this thread, this will be my last off topic post I in it!

Grampz, The discussion you are talking about in this thread was basically a misunderstanding because at the time I didn't have enough time to post a proper message with my suggestion, it was all cleared up later when I had the time to post a proper message explaining what I was meaning.

"Senior Member" only means a member has posted more than so many (100 I think it is) messages it means nothing really, yes some of us have been around the scene for a while now & some will try to help answer questions from users & save sub having to do it, but at the end of the day sub is NextPVR, he does all the coding & makes all the decisions & for a lot of questions he is the only one that really knows the answer. Yes sometimes there is a bit of friction between members but it normally passes fairly quickly & then things all come back to being the friendly forums it normally is.

Sorry again cncb.

cncb, thanks for making the plugins. I have been hoping for a pandora plugin so will definitely look into it. I may take a look at the other. It may take me a few days as I am trying to sort through some other issues on my htpc first... but I am looking forward to this.

First, thanks - it's great - worked right out of the box on the main nPVR box - kudos for that.

On my NMT (eGreat M34a) Pressing UP for stations works, I get the screen that lists my Pandora 'Stations' and it is correct. Upon selecting a station the screen clears back to the 'Press up for stations" screen and just hangs.

Any ideas on what I can try to do to get this working on the NMT?

Thanks
TomH

Hiya cncb, been meaning to get back to you about this. Hopefully Xmas break will give me some time to have a look at this. MediaMonkey was new to me, need time time to investigate! We just may be a slightly different breed around here, but so pleased to see all your great work.

Hope you are well, and have to re-iterate again superb wiki pages!

v best and PM me anything about wiki pages etc.

cheers

steeb
