Recordings start in black & white, then switch to colour

Recently all my recordings are starting in black & white, then after 5-10 minutes switch to colour and stay coloured for the rest of the recording. Every recording does this lately. I have a Hauppauge PVR-150 tuner card and a Motorola digital box. Has anyone else ran into this issue before?

Yep... every time I watch The Wizard Of OZ

Have you disturbed any of your wiring connections? does it happen on old recordings or just new ones? do they play OK in another player like MPC or VLC?

Checked all my connections, they are good. My old recordings play fine and when I play a problem recording in VLC it's the same as in NPVR (B&W and changes to colour at the same point). So it's definitely something on the recording side of things.
