The name is just the name e.g. Doctor Who. The uniqueness is based on the Unique_id filed in the database which is populated by NextPVR at EPG update time based on series and episode data in the xmltv (or other source) except in North America (uses data from Schedules Direct).
However selecting season recording type as NEW episodes results in none being selected for recording, whereas selecting record all episodes, results in one of each episode being selected for recording, as expected.
So it looks like the NEW and all episodes are not treated the same even if, here in the uk all shows are treated as new. Something else is happening to make NEW type not work.
There are no RECENTLY_DELETED listed in the database for the show and the episodes I have already don't match the episodes in the epg.
There is one odd thing the episodes I have were imported using some utility that grabs them from the disk and creates and xml that I imported - this has resulted in recordings that have the title but have no subtitle/episode name.
So, next question is if using NEW is not going to work for me, is there a way to remove it from the selection or at least make the default for "all episodes"?

Is it possible to disable / remove the NEW from the list of options? I think it's the default one so it would be nice to make a different one the default.
