Can't view live TV

I haven't tried recording HD with the SAF drivers, mainly because I don't get a picture, just audio and I figured that would be what was recorded.

Is our jargon getting tangled? The decoders that you choose in Settings --> Decoders have no effect on whether a recording records or not nor any effect on quality of the recording. The decoders are only used at playback time. The "simplest" operation that NextPVR can perform is recording and playback. I suggest that we try and get a result with that before we move on. I stand by my earlier suggestion.

Are we sure that this is a decoder thing? What happens when you record a SD show and record a HD show and play each using, first LAV Video and Audio decoders and then play each recording using Cyberlink Video decoders?

Plus, what happens if you play the recording using ffdshow decoders in NextPVR? The easiest way to diagnose a problem is with recording and playback. If we can get recording and playback to run smoothly, then we should get smooth operation in Live TV.

The playback through media player classic was the same.

Sounds like a capture issue. Perhaps the tuner is in use by another application?

Can you put a short recording somewhere we can download from? So we can see what this jerkiness looks like? I can also check for dropped packets (like signal errors).
