Interesting issue: I got COMSKIP working very nicely with renamerecording in my postprocessing.bat. But when I play a recording through GB-PVR (.90) on the MediaMVP it does not see the comskip info. Playback on the PC throght GB-PVR sees the comskip info and works fine. Any hints?

Still no joy. I upgraded and rebooted the system. And to top it off, I lost the overlay with the green progress bar on the MVP playback, which I am sure is an easy fix I just don't know about.....

Thanks for trying....

Is there anything unique or unusual about your setup? Comskip works fine here on my MVPs. Are the recordings on a network drive or something like that?

As for the overlay, it's off by default now to improve performance. Just hit the Blue button on the remote to show it momentarily whenever you want to see it, or you can re-enable the old behavior in the config program.

Nope, nothing really unique about my setup, other then everything GB-PVR related resides on drive D of a two drive SCSI setup.

Tipstr, what registry tool would you recommend for teh reinstall procedure you talked about?

Thanks for all the help!

Once again, still no joy.

One thing to mention, gb-pvr is installed in in d:/gbpvr/.  Could this have something to do with the issue?

I used to have GBPVR installed on the D drive of my computer, along with the video files. I finally moved it to c: and used the default folders, devnz etc. , because I kept having trouble making sure that every file needed was in my folders. But then again I am not a computer pro.

I do use comskip on the MVP without any problems....

Do you have another PC that doesn't have this type of setup, and see if it works on that one. Trial and error I say.
It's real Ultra Wide SCSI 3. On the wish list is a Ultra320 controller since one of the drives is Ultra160, but that's a way out.

Unfortuneately, I don't have any other machines with the horsepower for this. Are there any settings to tell the MVP server where to look for the comskip files?

Do you have the GBPVRRecordingService setup to run with a different user account? If you look in Task Manager on the Processes tab, is GBPVRRecordingService.exe running as SYSTEM or some other User Name?

Thanks, Tipstir! You got me thinking about services, and it turns out I had the Hauppauge MVP server autostarting. When I turned it off, comskip on the MVP worked fine.

THanks for all of the help!
