If XBMC is running while a new show is recorded, then after the recording is completed it doesn't show up in the list of recordings unless I exit and re-open XBMC.

I gathered from that thread that you can actually click the "Recordings" item from the left nav bar to force an update, but I'm wondering if the plugin can be configured so that it automatically updates instead without any interaction from the user. The thread seemed to indicate that this should be possible and that the plugin has to implement this functionality. Has this topic been brought up before?
Also can you confirm that I'm running the most recent version of the XBMC plugin: 1.9.7
