Trouble configuring and connecting NPVR to KODi

The converter box is between the tv cable and the computer (which contains the ATI tv card). (The tv cable goes into the box and another cable goes from the box to the computer tv tuner hole).

"In this case you'd need to see the sticky thread about enabling analog support." How do you do that? The "devices" menu only shows two ATI BDA digital channels. I don't know how to scan the channels or import them. The "import" button only gives a dialogue box for an .xml file.

And lastly, I don't know how to "set the input to fix CH#, or svideo/composite."

See the sticky thread I referred to ("NPVR Tech Support" has a section on analog support). Basically you need to get SoftPVR on your machine before analog support is enabled. If you had a Hauppauge device, you could just install their software, then analog support will also be available in NextPVR. If you have another manufacturers device, then you have to follow the instructions to manually install SoftPVR.

Yep, 'Analog' device will only show up when you've followed those steps to get SoftPVR installed.

These will become more clear once you have analog support enabled. ie, you'll see an import button in the capture device settings, and inputs to use etc.

Yes, the cable converter box is between the cable connection and the ATI TV Card (in the computer). The tv cable goes into the box and a cable from the box goes into the tv tuner in the computer.

If it is just getting the analog signal, what do I have to do to see the "sticky thread about enabling analog support." And how do I import them and set the input to fix Ch3. I don't know any of this. Please help. What I see is when I try to press the 'import' button I get a dialogue box with a possible .xml file import. I don't know what that is about eithe.

it's the thread at the top of the support forum, it even says "Sticky" at the beginning. It's also linked in my signature below.

you really need to slow down and read what people are telling you. this forum is very friendly and n00b-bashing is not condoned, BUT if you take the "I just don't understand ANYTHING, I don't know what you're saying, you have to tell me where to click on each and every screen" tack then you're not going to get far at all.
