To be honest, I don't know.

Usually I tell people to use TSCapture (which is also written by me), but it uses the same scanning components, so will probably have exactly the same problem.

If you still have ubuntu configured for using one of you your tuners, maybe tune with tzap to channel you want to record and then cp /dev/dvb/adapter# fullts.ts

You were right TSCapture sees no DVB-T2 with any tuners.
As for Ubuntu, manufactures don't like Linux and there's almost no nix drivers for DVB-T (MyGica, AverMedia, Behold as examples).
I didn't try TBS 6205 (C/T(2)) on Ubuntu, but as CrazyCat (universal nix drivers author) wrote, it will conflict with my 4 Digital Devices S2 tuners due to underdone drivers.
That's the reason to swap to Windows.

Just one more thing.

I tested DVBLink.
The same thing - the app sees all tuners, but locks no DVB-T2.
Oberon, the DVBLink dev, said that it is the driver issue (app doesn't support the tuners and no locking is possible).

I tested SmartDVB.
The app doesn't see the tuners NextPVR and DVBViewer see, but cannot scan.

As for DVB-C in NextPVR.
Yes, channels are locked with all present tuners (Behold, TBS).
But only 77 channels of 91 are locked.
The same with SmartDVB.

Yeah, it is most likely some driver issue. NextPVR just treats all DVB-T/T2 devices the same way, and usually this well across the DVB-T/T2 devices we've encountered. I don't specifically know of any other users with the devices you've named though, so not sure if they need something special for their tuning.

If DVB-T channels are working, but not DVB-T2, then it's possible their drivers don't provide the auto T2 tuning that most manufacturers do. ie, some early DVB-T2 devices required you to use special proprietary DVB-T2 tuning APIs. Later DVB-T2 devices had drivers that just made them look like DVB-T tuners, and did the DVB-T2 stuff automatically when you asked for the right frequency. NextPVR relies on this (rather than implementing support for each manufacturer's proprietary tuning API), and it works well with devices from common manufacturers like Hauppauge, TBS, DigitalDevices etc. Maybe the drirvers for devices don't do this, and need special custom tuning stuff?

Another check for drivers would be to install TSReader. The free "lite" version doesn't give a full TS writer, but otherwise it is very reliable for interpreting the TS streams I have passed through it.

Cannot figure out how to use it.
My device is not in the list.
So I choose DVB-T compatible source.
Only Behold TV7 tuner shows up in the left lower corner with signal and tuner "not tuned" status.
Changing device number to 3 (I have 3 DVB-T tuners) is of no help.
