Schedules Direct EPG not marking new episodes

I am having a problem with the Schedules Direct EPG with NextPVR 3.7.7 under w10. I configured the channels for S.D. per the Wiki instructions. I get listings in the TV Guide after I update EPG, but none of the shows in any channels are marked new "*". As a result, none of my recurring recordings take place even though there are new episodes available. I contacted Schedules Direct and they checked their data and there were "new" flags there. Am I missing something obvious?

NextPVR has never added a "*" to indicate a new show. There were some xmltv utilities that users used in the past to add that to new shows, but it's nothing to do with NextPVR, and you'd be best to not try doing that.

You can however tick the 'highlight new shows in TV Guide' setting in the Settings->Misc2 screen.

Thanks! New shows are showing up in the TV Guide. Now to get my recurring recordings working.

Were you using xmltv and the asterisk ( * ) to denote "new" episodes before switching to SD? If so, then you will need to change ALL of your recurring recordings so that the asterisk is no longer included in the show name. Otherwise, there will never be a match in the EPG.

Make absolutely certain that you make copies of your files BEFORE you start editing them. That way you can start over if you really muck something up.

A simple edit to get rid of the "*"'s in the recurring-backup.xml and importing did not work. I ended up re-entering all of my recurring recordings using the web interface and everything seems to work. Thanks again for the help!
