any way to change aspect ratio per channel on NxtPVR plugin on KODI

Hello everyone,

My cable provider is sending one of the channels in letterbox (4:3) aspect and the rest in 16:9. When watching TV directly from the PC running NextPVR, I can adjust the aspect ratio to fill and the channel looks great, but this change only shows up locally and not in KODI. Is there anyway to just change that one channel in the KOD plugin to display using the fill aspect ratio?

Controlling the aspect ratio is really a player-side thing. NextPVR just passes the broadcasters digital stream to Kodi, and it's up to kodi to display it in the correct aspect ratio. Most of the time this happens automatically - some times channels transmit in a screwed up format causing players to get it wrong. In NextPVR's player you can press F7 to toggle aspect ratio modes. I'm sure an equivalent feature exists in Kodi, but I'm not sure what key makes it happen.

thanks! I am using android tv, so I dont have the option for the keyboard. I contacted the cable provider and they fixed the signal aspect ratio.
