I was surprised just how well the Amazon Fire Stick plays NextPVR recording via Kodi given the usual recommendation to use a wired network connection for best results. I use X-NEWA and HD recordings play faultlessly and "Skip" although not perfect works acceptably well! The biggest weakness I found is the simple remote with no ability to page up/down or sideways the menu or EPG. There is the ability to simulate ordinary remote control keys but it takes four key presses to to do a "page down"! As I have 159 entries in my "Ready Recordings" menu its not practical to navigate to the end of the menu so I use it to watch Recent Recordings!
When doing the initial setup I could find no way to edit either of the xml I needed to change. Both installed text editors loaded the files but neither had an on screen keyboard to allow you to edit the text. In the end I used Kodi file manger to copy the files to a network share, edit them then copy them back.
