go back 3.92 how?

I have had a lot of problems with 4.04. Some people say they went back to 3.92. I still had a file in my download folder "NPVRSetup_3_9_2_161119.exe". When I ran it said it was installing but after the install when you go to "About" it says your version is 4.04. How can you go back to a previous version?

did you install to same dir as original?
and did it finish properly? did you reboot after?

aha, just tried it myself with same results..
uninstall first..then reboot and install 3.9.2 then..
be sure to make copies of database [npvr.db3] and config.xml at very least before you uninstall..but still install to same dir as 4.04..
it will pickup your leftover database and settings as they shouldn't have been deleted by uninstaller...
[otherwise, place backup files into dir then install 3.9.2 on top of it]

hmmm,still didn't fix config.xml version info so edit yourself i guess...
the files are 3.9.2 even if it says 4.04...it's just in config.xml that it's reading that from...so you can edit...
look in settings on decoder page and you'll see no 'use new tsreader' box...
