We're now well past 24 hours, and the Recording Service is still running, no stops. A number of recordings have also completed successfully. I think you've cracked it! Thank you very much indeed for your help.

Great. Make sure you delete that LogNetPush registry setting. This can cause performance problems, and large files, if left enabled.

Thanks for remembering that. The LogNetPush setting is now deleted, and the PC rebooted.
