A problem has come up now and then so I thought I would see if it is common or something unique to my setup. Right after this event I saved the logs.
NextPvr started, moved to recordings, picked the recording I wanted to watch. Scrolled to resume and hit enter. This is where the problem is. The program locks up. The only way to get out is ctrl, alt, delete to get device manager to run. Then close the program. This is on a Windows 7 desktop.

Is it specific to the recording? ie, does the same problem happen if you try that recording again?

Otherwise - we might need you to download "procdump.exe", start a command prompt, change to c:\temp\ and run:

procdump.exe -ma 1234

Where 1234 is the NextPVR process ID, which can be found in the task manager. This will create a .dmp file in c:\temp, which I can load up in the debugger to see what it was doing at the time.

Here comes the yes and no answer. It has locked up on a second attempt and it has also at other times started to run just like it should.

You might have to try that procdump suggestion.

OK, I think I have that figured out. Three things:
1. Where do I get the procdump.exe program?
2. The ID number: Is that from NextPVR recording service?
3. When should I do this? Right after the next lock up? Or......

You can download it from https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/procdump

If the front end seems to be locking up, then I'd use the process ID for nextpvr.exe

After it locks up.

This appears to be the same problem Red Dwarf and my self have been having for some time in this thread: https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...-on-resume
I will be keeping an eye on this thread with interest.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

Thanks Lao Pan for the link to the other thread. Interesting information. At least I am not the only one with this problem. I also noticed the thread ended at March 8, 2018 with out any real answer. I am waiting for my next lock up so I can send Sub the dmp file that will be made.
