Hi Jeff / Anyone,
This is a great plug-in. Works swimmingly well! Just ripped three DVDs perfectly immediately after installing. Have just ripped another very long DVD & I'm getting an error from the mplex component, when it is about half way through re-muxing.
The error says something along the lines of: "output file cannot be split, filename has no %d for {path/filename of output file}"
Mplex seems to be trying to split the output file into two or more files for very large DVDs (the .m2v video file for this DVD has a total size of 4.7gig).
Anyway, running mplex from the command line, but actually putting "%d" within the output file name works fine & mplex re-muxes everything and creates multiple .mpg files, replacing %d with 1, 2, 3, etc in the output files.
But, as you can't control the filename of the output within DVD2MPEG (can you?), I can't use the plug in for large DVD's. I'm wondering whether you/anyone knows of anyway of forcing mplex not to split output files? Or, if there is anyway of specifying %d within the command parameters DVD2MPEG sends to mplex?
Thanks in advance for your help.
BTW - cracking software. I thought at first that there wasn't much point in spending time ripping DVDs just to get them hogging space on a hard drive. That was until my better half and I were able watch a DVD film on the MVP in bed & our daughter could watch the Incredibles on the MVP in the playroom......now just worried that our DVD player and Hi Fi are completely redundant with the GBPVR / MVP combo...
cheers
