Recorded programs not visible in OSMC

Ok those two files files aren't showing in your database, I cannot explain how you can possibly seem them in Kodi PVR on your Windows 10 machine. Is it possible you just see them in the Kodi Video Library?

I have Kodi running on three machines: Windows 10 (the backend); Windows 7 (a laptop); and RPi3 (OSMC). I just double-checked: the episodes in question do not appear as "recordings" on any of these machines but they do show up in the video library. I must have been mistaken about seeing them as "recordings" on the Windows computers. My apologies for the mistake. I suspect that, some time ago, I set up all the "recorded TV" directories on my backend drives as video sources in Kodi for my Windows machines, hence all of my recorded TV programs show up in both "recordings" and videos there, except these two recordings. I didn't do that for RPi3 running OSMC.

Here's what I don't understand: NPVR is the only PVR I have running on any of my computers. The only way these recordings could end up on my computer is through NPVR. The recordings are there, and they are playable, yet NPVR can't find them as "recordings". Moreover, all other episodes of this same program, stored on two different hard drives on the backend, show up as recordings in Kodi.

Is there any way for me to force these to show up as recorded programs? I recorded this program for my wife, and it's been a struggle to teach her how to use Kodi/OSMC to watch recorded TV. Asking her to go to "videos" for two instances of this program will prompt a nasty comeback from her <smiles>.

That clears things up. NextPVR had has a default option that might not best for new users who use network or USB drives that my not always be connected

<AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>true</AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>

You need to edit config.xml to change this to false to avoid future issues like this

If the metadata for the files are still intact you might be able to import them from the Setting->Recording Import Recordings button

Ah, thank you! I managed to successfully import the two files. They now show up in all locations as "recordings", except the season/episode isn't given; i.e., S01E01 and S01E06 do not appear in the Kodi interface. They play correctly. When I chose to "import", I looked for "recordings" (.ts) files as opposed to xml.

Your point about USB drives makes sense. I use 4 different drives for recorded TV, and only 1 is local to the backend computer. The rest are USB external hard drives. Moreover, I had the backend set to sleep awhile back, so that might have contributed to the problem?

For the last couple months, I have set that computer to never go to sleep, so I'm hoping this type of problem doesn't recur.

Should I change the AutoRemoveMissingRecordings option to false? If so, where do I do that?

As I posted you need to edit config.xml to change that setting. You should read the sticky support post and the wiki for basic information like this.
