I then switch to my second rpi. It was not able to watch live tv as a tuner was not available. I have 4 tuners available via two hdhomerun duals. All 4 are setup in my settings device list. Status screen does not show any tuners active when my wife was watching, thus it is not recognizing what tuner is doing what.
You also need to make sure the channels are setup on each of your tuners (or more specifically accept it's offer to copy the configuration when you go into the 2nd, 3rd, etc tuners). If you only scan one tuner, then live tv / recordings will only be available via one tuner.

Sub - yes I have the 4 tuners setup and I did use the accept method as you mention.

Martin - yes I restarted it and it appears to be working better as I tried a RPI, webserver and my 2nd RPI this am.  The 2nd RPI was scrambled a bit however I was having a few troubles with channels due to weather related issues (no cloud cover and severe cold below 0 degree F)  I will try it again later....

Updated to the latest v5, seems to be going well. A few minor issues.  Video import file name does not change however it still imports the movies. Tuner status on the about page does not list tuners in use when they are in use. A start stop recording service program like 4.2.5 would be nice.

Sorry, this is fixed for the next build. (I'd fixed it recently, then promptly broken it again with another fix Big Grin)

Ok been running NPVR 5 exclusively now for a while. For the most part I am finding it very solid, I need to upgrade to the latest build but I have one question/concern. I am using libreelec 9.2.0 on a RPI2 and RPI3, when I start a live TV channel, it takes about 3-5 seconds to show a picture which is fine but for 1-2 seconds it shows the clip that would have played next when I sopped the previous channel, it than scrambles to the live feed. I played around with the deinterlacing settings, turning it off seems to stop this issue, my question is does NPVR 5 have anything to do with this? Can you adjust any settings that might help this?

Also is it best to leave the Tuners "primed"? What exactly is this for?

This setting only applies to Windows at this stage. It basically keeps the device running, for quick startup whenever you need to use it.

I've not seen that myself. Given the deinterlacing settings seem to stop it happening, it sounds like but in kodi or the player or something.

Did you buy the license to use the h/w decoder on the RPi? I'd have more questions if you uploaded the Kodi debug logs.

Yep I am running MPEG licenses on both RPI's.  I will pull logs in a bit, currently updating to newest npvr 5

Pretty certain this is a RPI/Libreelec issue that I need to keep working on.
