Synchronization issues with latest release

New PC uses an NVMe SSD stick of 2TB, so drives aren't the issue.

Playback gets out of sync, hit stop, then resume, and it is fine until it is not pretty quickly.  Using LAV32 bit filters.  

Playback via NLite (can't do subtitles) and VLC is fine.  Yauiclient also.  

The use of subtitles, or not, has no impact.

So what is different that makes NextPVR have this issue and none of the others?

Too bad sub noted he made a few changes but for your files I guess it doesn't help. You say that the closed captioning doesn't matter but do you turn them on often? I found the CC and DVB subtitle were always out of sync but audio not so much.

Watching the evening news is impossible, and we never turn on subtitles for it.

I find it perplexing.  We record OTA TV, nothing fancy.

On the off chance did you ever set any registry setting for debugging and forget to turn them off in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NPVR (note the WOW6432Node) If not we'd probably need te whole set of thumbnails, timing files and the ts file for the news linked on OneDrive or GoogleDrive to see if this can be replicated.

I have set nothing.

Why are only a few people continually reporting this issue? Shouldn't it be widespread?

NextPVR is multi-platform and there are 17 different clients I am aware off so NextPVR.exe is not the only choice and as an example it hasn't been my player of choice for over a decade. Even then in short testing I haven't heard the audio sync problem with the recommended setting LAV32 enabled for everything, EVR renderer and the default audio renderer which is why I'd like a larger file that you are sure experiences the problems.

Most exhibit the problem.  When I sent a file prior,  sub said it played fine.  Then I videoed the issue, and he saw it fine.

That was several releases ago, and a totally different PC.
