From the Wiki:

NextPVR Server will search for an available tuner device from the ...

• Top of the list downwards to use for recording.
  
• Bottom of the list upwards to use for Live TV.
  

I have found that when using a Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD, and recording with just the second available DVBT tuner in TV Scheduler Pro, that NextPVR complains that it cannot find an available tuner to play Live TV when the tuner order in NextPVR setup is first then second tuner i.e. the same as in TV Scheduler Pro.


Not a complaint, and hardly an issue worthy of anybody's time trying to fix as these are two completely different applications competing for the same tuner resources. I just note it as something others might run across.

You can change that order in config.xml to start at tuner 1 and you can disable either tuner if you want to use multiple apps.

Thanks for the tip, but I suspect that whichever order I select NextPVR will always have an issue with either Live TV or Recording, if it first encounters a tuner in use by another application.

Probably the best option is to disable one or other of the tuners, and ensure that only the tuner disabled in NextPVR is in use by another app.
