Just to update.....
Cleared the EPG data in Next PVR and Kodi and set Next Pvr to update EPG
All working fine now. EPG populated in Kodi and Next Pvr
Worth noting the Epg is set to update at 0244
the backend runs 24/7 and kodi is also running
throughout the night there is a front end somewhere using the feed from Next pvr

Whatever is causing the corruption I just posted about is likely an intermittent issue, I'm not sure if sub can filter these out in any way.

If you look in that xml there is clearly corruption at the end and interestingly the start time goes wonky too in the previous record so that record is bad too.

Yes, looks like something is going wrong with the DVB EPG processing.

Penfold, I might need you to use the evaluation version of tscapture (from https://tscapture.com) to record a 1 minute full transport stream, and put the file somewhere like onedrive/dropbox/etc, so I can load it up in my signal generator here to check the EPG processing.

It wouldn't have attempted to process the data unless the CRC check succeeded, so unlikely to be corruption. More likely just some slightly different string encoding format used there. (there is lots of formats it already has to support around the world, and it must have some issue with this specific one)

Just an update for anyone in the future looking into this or searching for it:

I changed the EPG update time from the standard overnight / early hours, when my tuner is in use to midday when more often than not its not being used.
No errors so far since my last post, it could be a local problem reading the EPG data when the tuner is working.

I have a TBS 4 channel 6904
