Issues with PVR recording directory

Hi, noobie so apols if I am asking a daft question, but I have searched for an answer with no joy.

I've just setup NextPVR (linux version) on a Raspberry Pi and want would like to save onto an attached Ext4-formatted USB disk which is fully mounted. Permissions all set to "anyone can access".

NextPVR will not record onto this as it says either access denied or permissions issues. I've tried everything I can think of. The only path that works is the one set by the installation which is on the Pi's SD card, which is no good as it does not have the capacity. have even tried copying permissions from this path onto the USB or saving to a network drive, but nothing works. Any thoughts welcome.

It is no only the share that needs permissions the mount point needs to be available too.

Also did you restart the server after changing permissions?

Thanks I went through that post again (which I had seen before) and it now works - the issue I think was that the mount point name was different from the native disk path.
