Did you set the drive letter correctly in the config app?

Yes I do belive so if talk about the one under option DVD Playback - only used for Xcard for now then yes I change it from D:\ to H:\ which is my DVD drive.
The DVD drive blink one time then display a black screen and nothing happing after that.

Just bought an xcard. Was the problem with the black screen ever solved because I have the same problem.

I've just got an X Card too, when I try to play DVD, I get an alert box saying:


Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program files\devnz\GBPVR.exe

R6025
- pure virtual function call

I can play DVDs from GBPVR if I set output to software only.
and I can play DVDs through the XCard if I use the software that comes with that.

Any ideas anyone, is there some config change I have to make to use the X Card for DVDs?

The XCard isn't in a machine with a DVD drive at the moment, so it'll have to wait for the weekend for me to test.

I've installed the latest drivers from the Sigma Designs site (had to re install the whole machine in the end ) .

I now appear to have the same symptoms as shspvr. I just get a blank screen.

I tried each set of drivers from the Sigma designs site in turn and each had slightly different symptoms but none made it work.

Ever solved? Is it just me and a few who have this problem. Is it just a configure issue? I will be satisfied only to know it is a problem and that it will be fixed later. Then I don´t have to troubleshoot anymore.

After a bit of experimenting tonight, I've been able to reproduce the blank screen issue. Sometimes the the drive setting wasn't "sticking". This is corrected for the next release.

Its also the first time I've had my XCard in my development machine in a couple of months, so I've also been able to confirm the XCard is correctly playing ripped DVDs and DVD ISOs (using daemon tools). Good to know...
