Hi,

All of a sudden my NextPVR client in LibreElec doesn't play channels anymore.
I don't know why. I already disabled and enabled the plugin and reboot Kodi.
It did work before.
There's the logfile. [DEBUG][22] seems strange?

It is strange but only because you changed the timeshfit seconds to zero so basically NextPVR won't cache any Live TV to disk.

If you don't like the default 20 minute buffer maybe set it to 60, with a new file every 20 seconds and keep timeshfiiting in Kodi turned off.

Hi, yes, that's was the problem indeed, changing timeshift to zero seconds, thanks!

Live TV method is set to 'Real Time' in NextPVR PVR Client in Kodi, so this seems to be okay.

But why set it to 60? I now set it to 1, but I prefer to completely disable timeshift.

NextPVR doesn't have an in memory video pass through and it is always saved to disk first. It may work for Kodi but not all clients allow disabling timeshift so there is just one logic path. Also a future release will have thumbnails on Live TV (thumbnails are disabled on LE arm because Kodi doesn't use it) adding an additional logic path.

Sub's rolling file implementation creates 3 segments so the number is divided by 3 and actually 4 can exist with all the transitions. I feel by having it at 1 you are making the system work harder than it should creating and deleting very small files.

Okay, thanks a lot! I will change it again :-)

So, setting it to 60 minutes will create a segment after 20 seconds (not minutes) if I understand correctly?

That all being said there is a way in pvr.nextpvr to bypass the backend for Live TV if the device provides a URL that Kodi's inputstream.adaptive or even a Kodi plugin can play. That is the expert mode Direct Steam option.

I don't recommend it and don't document it much because the user really needs to know the impact maybe see this related post here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=64729

Some issues to consider

- NextPVR is not in control of the tuner so recordings could be lost,
- not able to share the channel with multiple users with multi-rec
- I deliberately made it hard to setup, but it works great with Internet radio streams with Shoutcast so I did create a utility for that part.
- LiveStreams.xml needs to be kept current.
