Hi-

I've been a happy NPVR user for 10+ years.  I had issues with V5 so have stayed on V4 until now but have recently been having EPG update issues using SchedulesDirect.  They claim they no longed support V4 because of an API issue.

I have now switched a Windows 10 machine over to NPVR V7 using the same set-up I had with V4.  It appears to be working as expected except for a single issue.  I'm able to view and pause live TV but can't get it to record anything.

Tuner lights flash on the HRHR 131ECB5E tuner unit but don't stay illuminated.  A program icon and a "[Failed: HDHR stream not available]" message is left under the "Recordings" tab.

Found nothing in the forums that seemed helpful.

I've tried everything I could think to try but can't get recording to work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.   Dave

You clearly missed all the forum posts asking for zipped logs?

Note double posting is also not good netiquette.

Hi Martin,

I was hoping that another NPVR v7 user might have some idea of what I might have missed when changing my Windows 10 setup from v4 (which recorded dozens of shows each week w/o any issues) to a v7 setup which which won't record anything.

I'm aware of all the requests for zipped log files in the forums. Log files are useful for problems requiring deep analysis - I'm still hoping someone can suggest a quick fix just from the problem description I provided in my post!

I don't think "dual posting" should apply here. My other post (in the Legacy V4.x forum) was asking for help with an EPG problem I was having on a system still running a v4 setup and still recording just fine when it is able to get the EPG data. (I was a bit worried that I might be accused of "hijacking" the EPG Update Errors thread with my post.)

Sorry if I bent any rules here. Dave

Sorry I misread the other post since you copied over the issue from here. Since you only want help from other users I won't bother you again without logs.

Hi Martin,

I certainly didn't mean to imply I wouldn't be submitting zipped log files at some point, especially since V7 makes it so easy to do.

One anomaly I've noticed is that on the page that appears if you click on "NextPVR" in the upper left corner of the page, "Available Storage" is shown. (Photo attached.)

The "default" shows 0% free.  I have no idea how to fix this or if it really matters.

The second photo shows the result of an attempt to record the last few minutes of a show on cable ch. 232 this afternoon.  The leds on the HDHR box only flashed but none stayed illuminated during the attempted recording.

The log files I submitted were captured about two minutes after the "recording" ended.

Can you help me out here?

Thanks in advance.  Dave

Unfortunately you didn't include the logs from the start and NextPVR has been running for a while, but the graphic is pretty clear, your Default drive isn't configured correctly. I expect you have emtered a space in front of "D:\NPVR Recordings" in the settings when you changed them. The HDHR and all scheduling look good.

Issue resolved.  You hit the nail on the head!

Recording works just fine now.

You were absolutely right about the space.  See new photo.

I'll skip sending you new log files for the time being.

Thanks for your help,  Dave
