How to install BDA mux?

Hi,
After reading the forum it seems that the showshifter BDA mux gives the best result for some people.
I have a stupid question. How do I install it? It is enough to install the showshifter trial SW. I have seen somewehere that you need to register the mux in the system register, is that true?.
Is there any way to see what muxes you have available on the system?

Yes, installing the ShowShifter trial should be enough to get the mux on your machine.

You could download a directshow filter manager like that from http://www.softella.com/dsfm/index.en.htm. This will allow you to see what filters are installed on your machine. The filter names supported by GB-PVR are "CyberLink MPEG Muxer" "InterVideo Multiplexer" and "ShowShifter MPEG PS Writer"

Yes it was installed. Thanks for the link to the DFSM software.
The reason I asked was that when selecting the SS mux I can watch Live TV but when going to timeshift mode GBPVR hangs. It starts to display Entering Timeshift mode but then it hangs. I can not see anything in the log files.
