GB-PVR is working great.... I would like to know what the best s-video cable is;
My computer is high end - plenty of everything. TV is is seven years old - just
a yellow (composite?) input.

Not (quite) as good as tv without GB-PVR, but thats OK - Big problem is that
when I'm watching sports (my primary interest), the picture is sometimes blurry
for a second or two. Just a matter of adjusting the configuration settings?

Also, the s-video cable is hooked up to the graphics card. Is that correct?

Most video cards arnt capable of producing a picture as good as a regular tv, but that said, there are some common reasons that can compound the problem.

If you only notice the problem during live tv, and usually during horizontal movement, it may be a lack of deinterlacing. Check the deinterlacing setting in the config app. Try encoder passthrough.

If you notice it when you watching recordings (or live tv with encoder passthrough), then its worth trying other MPEG2 decoders to see if you find one more pleasing to your eye.

nVidia's decoder has deinterlacing built in. You can also get the haup tweaker (if you're using using a win-tv card) and adjust the motion blur up or down.

Sports like that is the hardest on tv cards, due to the type of video they broadcast.
