Hi,
I have a question about reocurring shows.

I want to record the Mythbusters series on Discovery. I know you can record seasons of a perticular show, but the mythbusters series show up as different shows in my EPG. This is because the shows show up in the EPG with a subtitle.

I would like to be able to record all instances of Mythbusters, no matter what the subtitle is.

Anyone got an idea what I'm talking about Big Grin And more important, does anyone have a solution ? Maybe I'm doing something wrong. In that case, please correct me and show me the right way :p
Regards,
Edwin

Hi jorm,
thanx for the quick reply.

I installed xrecord, but when I try the scheduler function, I get the error:
"Error: The "GBPVR" element is not declared. An error occorred at file:???D:?GB-PVR/PriorityRecordings.xml,(2,2)"

What's wrong ?
Regards,
Edwin

you don't have GBPVR installed in the default path (\program files\devnz\gbpvr'), so you have to adjust the path to the xsd-file in the PriorityRecordings.xml-file (attribute of the GBPVR-Element).

Hi,
how do I do that ? Do I have to add another element ?
I'm not into XML.

My current xml file is:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<GBPVR xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/PriorityRecordings.xsd">
<Configuration>
<MissingRecordingPriority>9999</MissingRecordingPriority>
<Conflicts>Keep</Conflicts>
</Configuration>
</GBPVR>

Edwin

uhm... sorry, it seems i have an outdated version here... the gbpvr-element in priorityrecording.xml looks like this:

<GBPVR d1p1:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="C:\Programme\devnz\gbpvr\PriorityRecordings.xsd" xmlns:d1p1="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">

so..back to your file... the nonamespaxeschemalocation-param points to a web-adress (gbpvr-webadmin... which means that the xsd-file must be in gbpvr\web...).
this is done (i think) because of remote-access...

if you do not want to remotly access gbpvr, you can change it to the local path.

[edit]uhm... strange... i removed everything (including xml and xsd files) and reinstalled the xrecord-plugin (newest version from the wiki) on my machine here (i'm at work Big Grin) but after installation the xml-file still has a local path in it (it's a wrong path 'cause i have a german windows here where "program files" is called "programme"...).

maybe jorm or ron22 can shed some light on this[/edit]

OK, I got it working now. I removed all priorityrecording.* and installed the latest version.

I can now use the scheduler. I added Mythbusters on all channels, all times and nothing specified. However, when I check the pending recordings, no mythbusters is found. But tonight and tomorrow are nights the show will be aired.

Do I have to do something else to get it recorded ?

Doh !!!
I already found it. Forgot to run priorityrecording.exe for the first time. Now it shows up in the pending programs. Big Grin

When do I need to run priorityrecording.exe to have it automated ? In postprocessing.bat ? Do I need to run it on scheduled times ? Daily ? Or after updateepg.bat ?
Regards,
Edwin
