Best video from MediaMVP?

How do you get the best image quality when using the MVP and watching live tv.

I have the box for use ffdshow with transcode but when watching live tv I do not see any ffdshow processes running. Is there some sort of config I need to make in ffdshow in order to get this to work? What are the best ffdshow setting?

I love gb-pvr, I'm just trying to get it to work its best.

ffdshow is not used when you're watching live TV. The MVP itself does the decoding of the MPEG stream.
