I was wondering if there as a plugin to use a 40X4 LCD display to display additional info from gbpvr?

if your lcd has a HD44780 controller (or compatible) you can use jaLCD (http://www.jalcds.de) with the LCD-Plugin (http://www.bladerhq.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/LCD)
