I've been using GB-PVR for about 8 months now and I love it.

About two weeks ago the system began freezing on playback. I havn't modified anything or installed any new software. the program will begin playing back a show and then the screen will go white and display a patteren (included in the log zip) It can happen when I'm watching a file or as soon as I press fwd or back. It's recording the show without any problems and comskip is able to work with them as well. but sooner or later it will lock up on every show I've tried to watch.

I've reinstalled the program on reapir settings and have also updated my video card drivers. I've also tried a restor to about a week ago (that's as far as my restore points go back)

Any suggestions or recomendations?

Thanks
Gren

Is your video card getting too hot? (is there a fan working on it?)

What type of video card do you have?

Nothing springs to mind, but that pattern is bizarre.

Can you also attach your gbpvr.exe-native.log so I can see the decoders being used?

I remember seeing a similar pattern which someone posted a while back with an Nvidia card - butg cant seem to find it in the search.

It's a very unique pattern, but cant for the life of me remember who posted it, or what they said (or if they fixed it) - great help eh?

Thanks

Can you post all of your gbpvr.exe-native.log files? That particular one you posted was pretty much empty.

It looks like the reinstall of the program wiped the logges.. I recreated it a couple of times and just zipped it all for your peruising.. hopefully there's something in there that'll tell ya what's up.

Thanks

Unfortunately the logs look fine, so no clues there.

Does changing the renderer help? (overlay/vmr7/vmr9/etc)

Do I get a cookie?

Thanks for looking into it sub, I do appreciate it. It worked before Probably going to try a full wipe and fresh install of windows and GBPVR. and I'm sure it'll work again. Smile

What files/settings do I need to save so that I do'nt lose all of my recorded shows(database)?
