I would like to suggest a simplified navigation scheme:
Up/Down scrolls through menu's lists's etc.
Right takes you into an option, Left takes you out.
An example is being discussed in the Music Album dev stream. Up/Down scrolls OK "does action", In Albums list it enques current album. Right arrow takes you from album view to album contents, where you can choose a track (up/down) and OK enqueues it. Right arrow takes you into the actual playlist and left backs out the same order of screens right up to the top level menu.
Another example is up/down chooses menu entry and right arrow opens a sub menu. Again scroll up and down and when ready hit OK. The idea being much simpler navigation arrows navigate and OK does. I find the current keys confusing (Do I press left arrow or Enter or some other key...)
OK here's my real request can the right arrow select the highligted entry in the top level menu? (Leaving all other keys as is. Just the top level having a right arrow added to do the same as the "Enter" key).
thanks
Thomas
