text/font being cut off

It also happens in the default blue theme as well.

Looks like you've configured Windows to use 'large fonts'. Switch this off and it'll look right.

That is exactly what happens when you are using large fonts.

I do have a widescreen laptop, if that has anything to do with it.

Are you using Normal DPI size?
Hade the same problem when using Large Size 120 DPI.
