Refresh Lines Across the Screen?

Hi:

I have a slight cosmetic problem. This occurs in both LiveTV and Recording features. I have lines that 3-5 running across my screen every 30-60 seconds. They look like refresh lines when you look at a computer monitor through a video camera. It is something I coudl live with but I was wondering if someone had a solution or 'trick' to try to fix it.

I am running WindowsXP SP2 Pro with an AverMedia MCE 150 and an ATI 9250.

I am having the same problem - what looks like refresh lines running at about 1/4 Hz going up the screen. It isn't very noticeable (sometimes I don't see it at all) and tends to be worse the darker the image. This occurs for both live and recorded video. The most surprising part is that sometimes they're there and sometimes they're not. I am using XP SP2 with a Hauppauge WinTV-150 and ATI Radeon 9600 going to a CRT television. I imagine it has to be an interfernce problem.

Can you capture what it looks like with a screenshot? If so, post it.

If it is tearing that you are trying to describe, then you might find the VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive renderer helps.

If its interference, then you'd probably need to identify which bit of hardware is causing that interference.
