Finally got FM radio to work with my PVR-500MCE. Just added a new station to my FM radio, it works but can't change the name of the station. Also, scanning seems to not do anything. I was able to add in a previous version of GBPVR but the latest just does not want to change the name from UNKNOWN

I just tried here and it seems to let me rename a stations. As a work around you can just delete the station and re-add it with the correct name.

Hauppauge have said that the SignalPresent() API I use during scanning is not implemented for some models of tuners used on the PVR cards. Those people will just have to use the 'Add' button or wait until Hauppauge fix the problem.

Did as you suggested, deleted the station and re-added it the station. I was able to enter the frequency, but name would simply not change.

Just upgraded to 94.13, does it have anything to do with it?

So if you click the 'add', type in a frequency, press the download arrow key so the name is highlighted, then type a station name (with the keyboard) it doesnt work?

I have the same problem. I can change the frequency using the keyboard, but i can't change the station name.
where is the channel information stored? maybe the channel info can be directly entered there? (registry, ini-file,...?)

I am having the same problem, with an additonal twist. I asked in another thread if I could edit the config.xml as there were only 6 stations I care about. I did do a scan, but after a half hour of skipping/adding, I canceled.

I then restarted GB-PVR, went to FM Radio and was presented with a single station listed. It was a bogus station, so I highlighted it and clicked delete. Boom--- another station, slightly higher in freq appeared. I deleted that one and agan, another station showed up.

If I select ADD, I can enter the frq and Name, but I suspect I cant see it as all the stations are stacked on top of each other in the UI, and I cant scroll through the list.

I have a pvr-500 and have 5 stations listed, all with names I created. I had an issue that ya'll are talking about when I fired set it up, but I ended up deleting all the stations and rebooting. That brought up a few failed attempts, and I deleted all those. I was then able to add with out issue. Have you wiped all out and just tried to add one and see if it sticks over a reboot?
