But that would create an extra layer between the device and NextPVR and that's already possible by using DVBViewer's integrated Sat-Ip server.

If you think about how NextPVR works in the simplest terms with digital tuning devices, it is device API+stream NextPVR. For Windows that will be BDA and for linux that is dvbv5 As an example my analog extra in linux use the v4l api to create the stream. Sure sub could add v4l support but it doesn't make an extra layer. The only extra steps comes if the device doesn't support mpeg ts directly and you use they web player for playback of live tv instead of a direct play client. Martin

There is just no easy way for me to do it now that I no longer have a TV system that uses DVB-CI.I have a Windows Server 2019 running with Digital-Devices Max M4 Tuner Card (https://digitaldevices.de/produkte/dvb-k...en/max-m4/) and an CI-Module https://digitaldevices.de/produkte/dvb-k...us-duo-ci/). What do you need else? I can provide a remote access to my system. There are a lot of people currently looking for a new solution as TV-Mosaic died. NExtPVR looks promising ..... Best regards

It it not trivial.
You'd need to install v4 for SoftCam support, use Windows hacks to enable BDA on Windows server and then connect to the v4 instance from v5. Martin

I said it wasn't going to be easy, you have a lot of research ahead of you. If NextPVR v5 sees your devices you probably already have the BDA subsystem installed.

But, SAT-IP Devices, provided by DVB-Viewer, which uses also the DigitalDevices-Tuners, Tuning works ..... So for now: Direct Tuning on local DigitalDevices don't work ..... And, we need the CI-Modul to look German Bundesliga :-)

Hopefully if I repeat myself you will get it. For the tuner support in Windows Server you need Windows hack for a reference on older server version https://marcowuen.wordpress.com/2012/08/...r-2008-r2/
Sub has repeatable said it was difficult for him to add direct CI support so he previously recommended using SoftCam in v4 with acamd NewCS etc. I know nothing about these technologies other that what I read here. In v5 such support doesn't exist. You need both the BDA drivers and v4 to test this. Ideally you need the SAT>IP provider to support CI. Martin

DVB-Viewer and TV-Mosaic are able to tune ....... so BDA-Support is there. It's probably done with the driver from DigitalDevices. It worked fine also installing it on the new Windows Server Standard 2019 a few month ago .... So, NextPVR will not support CI-Modules? Then we can't use it in Germany/Europe. I will try to follow up the link. Maybe I get the tuning working .... Best regards from Germany Ingo

You can get filtercheck from the wiki https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/FilterCheck and zip and upload the output and we can see if NextPVR will support it.
