Forgot one thing with 32_24110 which is the remote buttons seem to lag more from press to action than version 32_24125b but I'll take slow buttons and stable rather than fast buttons and crashing.

Cheers Rick,

I'm surprised about 25_24023b. Did you give it lots of time? Most others found it to be "the one".

One thing I must add to the wiki. There are more Hauppauge MVP s/w versions than there are dongle.bin versions. The named dongles are only a reflection of WHICH s/w I extracted the dongle from. I kept that naming convention so folks didn't have to pfaff around with all the different versions. That's why sometimes you will see 3 successive MVP s/w versions have the same dongle.bin date and size.

Yea, I saw the stats on 25_24023b... about nine H3 units seem to work well with it and only two H3 units (three with mine) reported satisfactory results with 32_24110.

Unfortunately the user feedback doesn't seem to distinguish wired or wireless use.

I only tried 25_24023b once and the MVP failed trying to get an IP address but I'll try it a try again and report.

Tried 25_24023b again with the same results. The MVP wouldn't accept an IP address and the MVP defulted into the setup screen.

Sadly when I went to my PC to change back to dongle 32_24110 (the good one) and I clicked on the GBPVRTray icon to make the dongle configuration change something happened and my computer displayed an installing GBPVR window...

YIKS... I cancelled the installation and tried it again and had the same thing happen. I rebooted my PC and the same thing occurs.

Looks like I'm going to have to uninstall and reinstall GBPVR. But that'll have to wait till tomorrow.

Any suggestions for this problem and the reinstall. I've already saved copies of my config.xml, my dongle files, gbpvr.mdb and I didn't have a file called gbpvr.db3. What else can/should I save?

Good point. Hopefully it IS wireless, being the reason they bought it.

Jksmurf

Im having a few issues with my D3A MVP as described here:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=18585

They are unrelated to the issues that the H2/H3 users are having, and im not expecting the 24023b.bin dongle to make any difference, however, its got to worth a shot?

Could you send me copy

Thanks, Stu

Always worth a shot :-)
Sent you a PM.

I don't have any experience with the colour issues you're having so I really don't know what the hue Smile and cry is all about.
I suppose the PVR150/500 Hauppauge Tweak tool can't help? I don't know what capture card you have.

good pun.

ive sorted the colour probs, by using hauppauge software, and adjusting settings before going back to GBPVR.

The 24088 dongle works great, the beta does also, but navigating menus are horrible slow! I switched back to 24088 straight away.

Thanks for the beta though

jksmurf (aka Dongle Dealer)

Looks like I am in the same position needing the 24023b dongle too. I have been running GB-PVR for some time but decidied to use an MVP to broaden the experience for the non PC users in the family. Unfortunately the TV people (the wife) is not impresssed with the constant reboots and failure to reliably play music,

I'll post my feedback.

Many thanks.

Jon
