stu8080 Wrote:Hi navyguy, love this plugin, it helps me keep track of the various films i have downloaded and recorded, however maintaining it from my HTPC is tricky and so i currently run this on my main PC aswell and then realtime sync the database with the HTPC.

With this in mind would it be possible to add an option to choose the default save location of the database?

This way i could set it to \\GBPVR Box\devnz\gbpvr\third party\navyman and cut out the need to sync?

Someone else has asked for this as well, I don't have a client/server setup so it'll be a bit tricky for me to test/develop but I do have some thoughts to doing a client/server setup for the management tool. Not in this round of updates (I hope to have 1.0.1 released this week) but probably in the next cycle (1.0.2) I'll do something with this if I can make it work.

Also, some movies give the following error when i try to save them, even when i remove all info one by one and try to save the files. Any idea what causes this?

I think that's from the ' mark you have in the filename and in the directory name. Try to take those out and see if that lets it save.

navyguy Wrote:Ok, I figured out what is up with the Layover movie, if you go to IMDb.com you'll see a search for the movie layover comes up with 3 title matches. The utility will go to the first link (in this case Layover 1999), if you click on that link you'll see there's pretty much no information available. However the Layover 2001 link does have information and a poster image. In this case copy and paste into the Title input area on the utility exactly what it is you want (in this case it would be "Layover (2001)" without the quotes and it'll pull exactly that when you click the IMDB lookup button.

For now at least that's the workaround, after I get done with this round of feature additions I'll revisit this and see what I can do to improve the logic for this kind of situation when IMDB sends back a page with pretty much no information.

HTH

NavyGuy,

Will test when I am home and let you know.

When importing files using the ‘File Mgmt’ tab, the utility will now ignore the following {’ cdX’, ‘ - part X’, ‘ - partX’, ‘ (part X)’} (where X is either 1,2 or 3 - NOTE: the ‘ ‘ are just used to show relevant spaces) that is in the filename and will now append ‘ - Part X’ to the movie’s title field after the IMDb.com lookup is completed if successful. (May rework how this is implemented) Vastly increases the IMDb.com lookup success for bulk importing of files.

navyguy, can you also include functionality to exclude files with D1.avi and D2.avi since this is the standard naming in the VA plugin.

thanks,

\\Agerdin

Navyguy,

I did a test with Layover (2001) and after the lookup i did have some information. What i now understand is that when there is no information available (Only the title of the movie, noting else on imdb.com) everything stay's empty what give the result that the movietitle is also blank in the scrolbar of movie's in the plugin.

The newest version is now available on the wiki:
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/Movies
If you will be upgrading you will need to re-create your database because of the new fields available with this version.

Changes:
  • Removed dependency on GBPVRCommonUtilities, other plugins installed may require it though so don’t just delete it if you have it installed unless you are sure you won’t need it.
  • Added ability to play dvd from directory structures. To add these, simply add a movie like normal (‘Add New Movie’ button in the utility) and select one of the .vob files as the ‘File Name and Full Path’ (doesn’t matter which but must be one of the .vob files) located in the \VIDEO_TS directory in your directory structure. Set the movie’s title, do an Internet lookup and save as normal. Then to play select as normal from within the plugin.
  • Added User Rating, Director, Writers, Tagline, Trivia and Goofs to information retrieved during an IMDb.com lookup and shown in the plugin as a popup window for more information.
  • When importing files using the ‘File Mgmt’ tab, the utility will now ignore the following {’dX’, ‘ dX’, ‘ cdX’, ‘ - part X’, ‘ - partX’, ‘ (part X)’} (where X is either 1,2 or 3 - NOTE: the ‘ ‘ are just used to show relevant spaces) that is in the filename and will now append ‘ - Part X’ to the movie’s title field after the IMDb.com lookup is completed if successful. (May rework how this is implemented) Vastly increases the IMDb.com lookup success for bulk importing of files.
  • Added a few more skin controls specifically: Button height, Showing Movie X of Y height and width, Showing Page X of Y height and width, Poster Image height and width. Also added a section to specify the normal_button, selected_button and background images by filename directly in the skin.xml. Added X and Y axes and height and width controls for all new fields and the help image shown in the new more information popup window.
As always, let me know if I messed something up Wink
