I also have a question about the Automatic Running section. Do we just need to move the "UpdateEPG.bat" file to the "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr" folder? Will the EPG then update itself every day?

The reason I didn't say empty EPG is because if you do that it deletes the recurring recordings. My way it didn't delete them which helped me out. Most people will say empty it though.

To answer your question, yes, just move UpdateEPG.bat to there and it'll update itself everyday. Make sure you get the new version though in a little bit and rerun the setup to make sure your settings file isn't corrupted.

I found what causes the problem in generating the final XML file. It was the language setting. When "language for non-unicode programs" of my 2003 system is set as "Korean", yapi2xml.exe gives the error. When it is set as "English", the XML file is generated smoothly.

-Oz- THANKS again for all your work on this app. I'm very pleased with it. Let me give you a little feedback on my experience.

1) Everything is working great! Just wanted to mention that first!

2) I had GB-PVR set to update EPG at 4:00 AM (Central time). For 4 straight days, I got the 5 tries and then "all retries failed" in the log. I could manually run the update at other times and it worked, so I changed my update time to 7:00 AM 2 days ago and the auto update has worked both days since. I don't know if others might find the same issue or not, but for me, 4 AM wasn't a good time to update.

3) With each updated version of your app, I have loaded it on my machine and then run it manually. I then seem to always forget that it is open and I then run GB-PVR's update EPG command. This gives an error "YApi2XML: Run-time error '70': Permission denied". This is no big deal, I just close the app and try again (once GB-PVR times out) and everything is fine. I thought you might want to mention it in the wiki that you need to close the app before having GB-PVR run it via updateepg.bat. Or, perhaps some error-trapping to let people know what happened.

Not sure how to error-trapping for that but i did add it to the automating running section of the wiki so other people will remember.

1.2.3 still writes to the ini instead of the xml for me. I clicked the Get EPG button. Tried again with a new INI, without the new show marker setting, and clicking Download and Parse Listings, and it wrote to the XML as expected.

All 5 retires fail for me. I thought it was 1.2.3 and reverted to 1.1.9 and the same thing happened.

I'll load your EPG into my machine in an hour or two and see what i can figure out.

Edit: obviously didn't quite get to this with all the other bugs, it is odd that changing that didn't change the EPG. I will definitely test it later in the morning today.

Quick note OZ, I updated to v. 1.2.3. It didn't solve my 2 hr discrepancy or the channels being out of order but now when I go into the "TV Guide" and click on what it says is the current program and click "watch" it takes me to the correct channel instead of a snowy screen. The program info is still wrong of course but I guess thats progress?? Don't know if that means anything...
