Congratulations sub I think you've cracked it. Just went in tuned, stopped, changed channel, switched to alternative video source and each time the npvr client stopped recording.

Great. I'll keep my fingers crossed...

does this fix require the updated add-on posted further up, or does the NShared update alone fix this?

NextPVR just needs that NShared.dll, but XBMC needs the updated addon to take advantage of it.
I must admit I did a sneaky update of the installer to include it though, since we were only a few hours after the release and only a small number of people had download it.

ok, then I won't bother listing it.

My original issue is now resolved, so huge thanks for that. I'm now having a different issue I hope you can help with.
If I'm watching TV there's no issue it all works fine and with the new xbmc build sub posted the channel changes are almost instant now which is a huge improvement. If I do something different like watch a youtube video and then return to TV, it tries to start the channel as I can see the npvr icon on my laptop turn red but then it stops and xbmc continues to try loading the channel. It then comes back with Tuner not available. NextPvr is fine, I tested that while Xbmc was running and it loaded the channel ok. If I restart Xbmc it's fine the 1st time but subsequent attempts see npvr try to start the channel then failing. Logs attached.

The last patch solved it for me :-)

This is great news. I've been watching this thread, but I had to give it up at 0300. I give this ago when I get home! Thanks, sub!
Okay. Here's a summary...
NextPVR Note: This only affects NextPVR version 2.6.2. XBMC Note: This only affects the windows version of XBMC Frodo 12.1. I have not tested on linux, ATV2, or ATV1 running OpenELEC. 1. Exit NextPVR, XBMC, and stop the recording service. 2. Download NShared.zip from http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post454475 3. Extract to C:\Program Files\NPVR\ or C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\ 4. Download XBMC_NextPVR_win32.zip from http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post454440 5. Extract to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\pvr.nextpvr\ 6. Start the recording service. If this proves to be the fix, perhaps we can make this sticky. Cheers!

the NPVR 2.6.2 installer includes the NShared.dll from this thread, so there's no need to update it unless you downloaded 2.6.2 within the first few hours of release.
