This was a clean install for me. I noted that InstallUtil is .NET 20 if that means anything. Why not run from
%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319 Martin

Quote:Why not run fromThere was a reason I originally packaged the InstallUtil stuff with the installer but I can't remember why now - probably in case there was a minor update of .NET v2 meant I'd be distributing the correct version without relying on what the user had installed on their machine. Probably not a logical assumption to make but then again, I've never found the .NET Framework approach to be logical. I will probably change things to use the Framework folder though. Cheers, Brian

I just tried the 2.02 service and it installed and then uninstalled fine.

mvallevand Wrote:I just tried the 2.02 service and it installed and then uninstalled fine. Thanks for the confirmation Martin. I added a file deletion section to the installer script to get rid of any previously installed InstallUtil files in the nDroid service folder in order to avoid any version problems. I also took your suggestion of using the %windir% path to the v4 InstallUtil file. Cheers, Brian |
