New Plugin - MovieWiz v1.0.0.0

I am looking at adding the ability to use external players to MovieWiz. I have determined what the tab in the config program needs to look like, but I am trying to come up with the best way to provide this feature in the plugin itself.

In the plugin, if external players are defined, and the user decides to play the file (either by pressing Play on the list, or Watch on the Info dialog), show a popup appear listing available players, the then user selects from that list? Or is there a better way to present which player should be used?

Sorry - my original explanation is not as clear as it might be...

I load a movie into the DB while IMDB and thumbnails are unchecked
I type some text into the 'plot' field... MovieWiz does not display it
If I then type something into the 'rating' field MovieWiz displays both 'rating' and 'plot' info correctly
If I then set the 'rating' field back to null MovieWiz stops displaying the 'plot' field.

Is it possible to add a third button in the popup? 'Select player'.
Otherwise a default player is used (or maybe a player is assigned to '.avi', '.iso' etc)

My reasoning is that too much of popups is a nuisance, so I would like to have a way around that. I'll think about it some more...

to add in the future the ability to manually add searchable data such as title, singer for karaoke clip would be excellent. Playlist or queue clip like music library2 functionality would be nice

Not sure I understand what you mean. The config dialog lets you enter data for each field that is displayed.

Are you asking for additional fields, or the ability to search on other fields?

• Added Play All to movie categories. Activated by pressing Ctl-P (or Play on remote) when focus is on Category list.

I tried with both .avi and .iso (search is still case sensitive btw).

Thanks for prompt reply.

I know I can categorised a clip under category in moviewiz. This will enable me to group clips together so that it can be play under the same category(playlist). Thus if I categorised a clip under different categories, a clip can be played in different playlist.
It works out well.

What I mean if I have a lot of karaoke movie clips. I would like it to be able to manage content by singer, title. And be able to categorised in a category easily. Say if I will like to search all movie clip directed by a singer A and from the search result be able to classify some of the movie clips by singer A in category 1 and category 2.

Another nice to have is to have ability to create another playlist from an existing playlist.

Sorry, missed the code to enable this feature, new install has been posted (v1.0.8.1)
