For the HDPVR (with stuttering on crashes), on any 16x9 or 4x3 in live tv (not recordings) I never get the expected block

So is this only with the HDPVR ? I dont have one of those hooked up right now, but I wasn't able to reproduce the problem with either an analog or DVB card.

Yes I only am having an auto aspect ratio problem with 4:3 from HDPVR in LiveTV.

TSReader2 also doesn't allow closed captioning or audio streams to be selected.

I've been testing this for about 45 mins this morning skips are working well at last There is probably a 2-3 second delay before resume is complete (sound resumes first) but that is acceptable. Had one stall on forward skip in time shift (Freeview HD) but the picture was split horizontally so may have been a corrupt frame it landed on.
As Martin said no Audio or Closed Caption selection, no big deal for me - never had the need to use either.
Not tried 4.3 content or a reboot yet.

Next test - Her who must be obeyed told me to fix the skipping problems only this morning - about 20 mins before I checked the forum - I could be in for some bonus points

I can't test this on my main htpc yet, but I tried it on my dev laptop (as a client) connecting to the htpc and just got a black screen every time, with recordings and Live TV. Looking at the log, it seems like the graph isn't being built correctly, as only the MPEG-2 Demultiplexer and NPVR TS Reader2 exist in it. If I unregister the new filter it's fine again. It's possible though that I've still missed a file or an update somewhere along the line...

This patch should get subtitles working, and will hopefully also fix the remote client problem imilne had above.

I've been having the skip problem periodically as well. I tried the 2 NPVRTSreader2.ax files (last one, and patch.zip (latest)).

I get no sound with either. as soon as i regsvr32 /u the new tsreader, I get my audio back.

I've attached my logs.

In the log, there will be a section with "tsreader2" not found, thats where i removed it, and got my sound back. Then I tried the older of the 2 TSreaders (prior to patch.zip), to see if that helped. My sound disapeared again. I loaded the graph, it all seemed to be inplace.

I am running the weird AAC recording, that is what my colussus defaults too.
