johnsonx42 Wrote:ok, running IE9 stops the IE windows from appearing in the foreground, and setting AutoLogin=true and entering my credentials in the Options dialog fixes the "you didn't login" problem. Autologin=false doesn't seem to work right for me - it always thinks I haven't logged in, even though I have (and I did try logging out in IE, then logging in through your window, but it still prompted the next time I ran it).

I do still seem to be getting an IE window leftover after watching sometimes (but at least they're in the background). I just tried The Walking Dead again and the IE window left open with 3 tabs open to that show's page; then I tried my kids' Turbo Dogs show, and didn't get any IE window.

OOOOOPS! I created a modified webbrowser to keep the IE windows form from popping up and apparently I didn't use it in the autologin screen. So it was messing things up. I think I have the issue fixed, but in the mean time if you find IE is opening without images then go to this reg key and change the value to "yes". HKCU\software\microsoft\internet explorer\main\Display Inline Images.

I'll put out an update as soon as I am confident that this works.

Yes, the program is a 3rd party app completely separate from NPVR, so you can run it on any windows based machine.

OK new version is up. You were correct about autologin=false not working, I apparently deleted all of the code dealing with that situation by accident. It is working again. However, unfortunately with IE9, the program will not remember your login info once you close my program, so it will ask you to login on every open. To fix this you have to open IE9, turn off protected mode (tools--> privacy --> uncheck protected mode), login to Netflix.com, then turn back on protected mode. It should now remember you permanently, or at least until your cookie in IE expires. Let me know if you have any more issues.

I just installed this app and want to use it on my HTPC, calling it as an external app from XBMC. I'm having problems with it.

The Netflix TX viewer opens up to the Instant Queue listing first and there is no genre list. My "main screen" is the instant queue. I can get to genres by using the hotkey ctrl-right arrow, ctrl-left arrow, but after doing that a couple times I get an unhandled exception error and the application crashes.

I'm using the latest NTXV version (July 2nd), Windows XP, Internet Explorer v8 is installed on this machine.

Here is my INI file:

Open SGID=0
Time to renew=7
Country Code=
Font Family=Arial
Movie info Folder=C:\Documents and Settings\RCB\Application Data\DHGB256\netflix viewer
Default Font=12
Back Color=Chocolate
Fore Color=White
Update Stars=False
Last Viewed=False
Update Notification=True
Use Secondary Screen=False
Rated Viewable=True
Queue Only=False
Canadian=False
Logging=True
AutoLogin=True

My MoveInfo.ntf file is about 14 megabytes.

Any ideas on what is happening here?

I had a variety of problems running the most recent versions on IE8, which were solved by switching to IE9. I realize that isn't an option for XP users though.

Is there a place I can download an older version? I'd like to use this app and it appears the version before the most recent one (July 2nd) has fewer problems.

I can get you an older version. Let me know which version you'd like.

I no longer test on XP, so I rely on the users to let me know if there are any problems. Is it always the same genre that causes the error? Also, you need to let the menu fully load before switching to the next one, fast cycling can cause errors.

If you need to jump genres you can do that through the options menu, which may be easier.

It appears to happen randomly when switching genres. I am waiting for the load to finish for the genre to pop up before switching to another so it's not from fast-switching.

What happens is I will press ctrl right (or left) to move to the next genre then the message "there is something wrong with the database" (paraphrasing) comes up and it rebuilds the movieinfo.ntf file.

Could I try a copy of the version prior to 3.7.1.0? I don't know what the revision history is but I'd like something that was released or used frequently on XP without much issue if that is known.
